Hello everyone from Barrie, Ontario, Canada! I've been lurking for several weeks now. I had owned a k200d from several years ago but admittedly stopped using it entirely a few years ago because I had gotten lazy with the advancement of smartphone picture quality.

I decided to get back into it full bore and started reading reviews on this site. And as luck would have it back on Sept 11th, the KP showed up on my Amazon deals for 749.99 cdn. After looking at reviews and realizing this was the perfect mid-range dslr for what I do (complete amateur) I jumped on it for that price.
I have since acquired through reading the reviews here the
SMC Pentax-DA 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 ED AL [IF] DC WR
HD Pentax-DA 55-300mm F4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR RE
and I have the SMC Pentax-DA 50mm F1.8 on the way.
I also have the Sigma 50-500mm F4-6.3 APO EX DG from years ago.

The Pentax lenses so far are wonderful and I thank all the people who took the time to give in depth reviews about them.

So far I am really enjoying the advice, reviews and discussions on this wonderful forum.
