Hi everyone. Not many Pentax users here in Panama, (no dealership) so it's nice to be able to tap into the forum for advice and inspiration. I've recently acquired a secondhand K3, an older Tamron 18-250mm A18 and an even older smc 50mm A 1.7 with which I plan to have fun shooting in the jungle where I live with my wife.

I lived in Panama from early '12 to mid '14. What an amazing place to live if you like to take photos! I bought a DA* 300 while living there and captured some unforgettable stuff--sloths, toucans, howler monkeys, aracaris etc. Then there's the macro stuff. And San Blas...

Thank you all for the friendly comments. Nosliwmit, yes to all the wildlife you mentioned, we see them all on a daily basis. We are also familiar with the beautiful San Blas Islands. We used to live on a boat there, (in fact it was how we arrived in Panama. A world tour from Scotland that is now in permanent hiatus!)
