Hi fellow Kiwis,

I created the social group PentaxForums.com - Kiwi Pentaxians.

This might be a way to find other Kiwis in this forum. I'd love to learn about good places to get your gear from in the land "far, far away".

So true!

Was my excuse to finally get a decent camera. Imagine a trip to the south island with nothing but a 10 year old 2 MP point & shoot with about four different shades of blue for the sky and the sea (which is what I had before). Never been there yet, but the trip is firmly planned in my mind.

I'll either upload some shots or link to my (still tiny) flickr account. Waiting for the forum moderator to advise. Nothing sensational there anyhow (yet?).Haven't had an opportunity to make nice NZ shots yet. Can't wait to give it a shot...

You shall have no problems to provide the links in your signature. This is a common practice to advertise your identity and photography work.

Some of us including me are often promoting our sites shamelessly

Unless I pick a locum shift in NZ, I doubt I could afford the travel cost at the moment.

Have good time in the forum!

Let me know if you ever make it into the Wellington area.

Thanks, it is a great place.

I've just uploaded an image to my gallery (included below). It looks nicer full screen in the original resolution, but I hope you still recognise the almost unreal beauty of some of NZ's landscapes.

Yes, quite true. Unfortunately, I haven't really had time yet to spend a proper amount of time on taking pictures. If I get to it at all, I always have to squeeze it in somehow. This isn't ideal for getting the most from a location or motif, but I'm having a lot of fun and hopefully will have some more time in the future.

Thanks for sharing your shots with us. I think a number of them are really nice.

And it really shows scale too (not just in SI).
Sorry, what's "SI'?
