Hello from Edinburgh

I'm Steve, a long term Pentax user (film and digital) based in Edinburgh. I've just ordered a K1 to replace the K10D I've been using for the last decade. I'd been saving some of my favourite lenses from when I was a film user (mainly using a Z1p but with various autofocus and manual focus bodies) so am looking forward to having them useful again! Those include a couple of Tokina ATX-Pro F2.8 zooms (the 20-35 and 80-200), my beloved FA* 85mm F1.4 plus a couple of other fast primes like the Porst 55m F1.2 and a couple of Soligor 135mm F2's (one with fungus and one without). Sadly I'd sold my ATX-Pro 28-80 F2.6-2.8 but have one of the Sigma 24-70 F2.8's on the way and suspect that'll be my main lens on the K1. I also used to have an FA* 24mm F2 but sold it but am now kicking myself now that I see what sort of prices those are going for 2nd hand.

I've also got a very neglected 645 film set-up but perhaps getting the K1 will kick-start my interest and see that getting some use.

Another "hi" from Australia. (We can't beat New Zealand at rugby but at least on this thread we outnumber them 2 to 1. Come to think of it, we can't beat anyone at rugby these days.). Enjoy the Forums. You will find a lot of good info and make some good friends.

K1 has arrived - first impressions are that it reminds me a lot of my old Z1p, which is a very good thing!
