Hello fellow Pentaxers. Newbie here

Good morning guys.
I found out about this forum accidentally when surfing the net. Wish I'd known about it years ago.

I'm retired now which gives me plenty of time to use my trusty KP. Often at Chester zoo. I love taking pictures of the animals there.
My problem is that I'm colour blind so if any of you other Pentaxers have any tips on how I might improve my photos in spite of this affliction, I'd be very interested in hearing. Look forward to it.

Merry Christmas

Spara

I see colors but I have been assessed as having a red/green color deficiency. I make black and white shots my forte!
Welcome and enjoy the KP as much as I do!

Welcome to the forum, I was going to suggest trying some B&W imagery, but got beaten to it.

Colorblind isn't a problem for composition. Focus your efforts there, and you always have B&W as an option. Remember if you want help with color, you can always post and ask.

Welcome.

Color blindness should not impede your picture taking. It might hamper post processing, but a good picture is not does not need perfect colors. I try to stay away from tweaking colors in PP myself. For that, I have to trust the automatic white balance in the camera. For the most part, this works well.

As a further suggestion, look for high contrast scenes, backlit scenes or highlights. Also try working in monochrome.
