Hi everyone - I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My first Pentax was a gift from my father back in 1999 (A P30, which I still own). A few years later I got my first DSLR, K2000.

Just recently I upgraded to a K-50 I found on eBay. When it arrived I discovered it had the dreaded aperture block problem. Thanks to reading the forums here I was able to diagnose the problem and repair it with a replacement solenoid.

I've taken a lot of iPhone pictures over the past few years of this and that, but now that I have a "new" DSLR we'll see what I get into.
