Hello from the Black Isle in Scotland

Not sure I feel entirely safe here, amongst all you Pentaxians, me being not a Pentax but a long-term Ricoh camera user (first film and now digital)! I like small, light and quality cameras and Ricoh have served me well in this respect for nearly 20 years.
I look forward to learning more about big brother Pentax and this forum seemed a good place to start.
All the best!

Welcome to the forums. You're most certainly safe! Lots of Ricoh digital fans here, and not just a few film fans with them.

Although this is "PentaxForums", Ricoh products (quite rightly) have just as much relevance and credibility here!

There's been a lot of talk recently about the exciting new GRIII. I'm sure you'll find that especially interesting

Welcome to the Forums. We really don't mind what equipment you use (there is even a non-Pentax camera forum) although there is naturally a bias towards Pentax/Ricoh. I have a very old Ricoh film camera myself somewhere although I doubt it works any more. Anyway, all this talk means less photography - start posting some pics!

Welcome to the forums. I started out with a KR10 many years ago, still have the camera and it still works, though it doesn't get taken out much nowadays.

I think that's at least 3 of us in the Highlands now!

RICOH is integral to this Forum....The GRII and the GRIII are well respected and many users here have them as walkabout cameras when our DSLRs are not warranted. Have fun here; this is a great place to discourse with fellow photographers and/or to gain knowledge on the medium at large.

Welcome, I can understand your concerns, but there's no turning back once you get across that bridge over the Beauly Firth... says a man who resides on the Northern shores of Loch Ness.

Indeed! I bought a 2nd hand GR1, swapped it for a new GRII and now have a GRIII on order. A creature of habit...

Welcome, and remeber it's not about the camera brand. It's about what you can do with the gear that you have. Please show us.
