Hello from Maine, USA

New to the forum. Been using a K100D for over a decade, time to upgrade and considering a K-70 with 18-135 kit. Reading a lot of threads. That's all for the moment, cheers

Hi also from Maine! I spent about 6 years on the K100D and about 5 on the K50 and I'm now on the KP. You should see a pretty dramatic change when you upgrade!

Happy shooting!

Another "Hi" from Australia. You will get lots of advice on upgrades. It is easy to spend other people's dollars.

I used a Pentax K-x for a few years and recently upgraded to the K-70.
I don't have the 18-135 kit lens so I can't tell you what it like.
I use a DA10-17 fisheye, DA18-55 WR, DFA 28-105 (Favorite), 90 Tamron 1:1 macro & DA55-300 PLM.
Even the 18-55 which gets bad reviews takes some fantastic shots so I am sure you would be happy with the 18-135mm.
I strongly considered buying the 18-135 instead of the 18-55 but the 28-105 and 55-300 really disuaded me.
In my experience with the K-70, I am amazed by how good it is for the price and can't praise it enough as an ametuer user.

Hi, from Southern California!!

Hi,

New to the forum... hardly new to Pentax.

My first Pentax was a Honeywell H3V bought brand new in 1964. I followed that with an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic bought in Yokosuka, Japan in 1967. I used the SP until I replaced it (in the early years of this century) with a digital... recently rediscovering film and including M43 pentaxes in the mix.
