Not to worry. It's the easiest surgery you'll ever have.
Steve, Glad it has all worked out. I was wondering ware you were. My father was either the first or second person to ever have lens replacement surgery back in the early 1980's. The first lens took 6 1/2 hours. A few months later his second eye was done. By then the surgery took only 2 1/2 hours.

Fast forward some 20 years and my father in law needed the surgery. I picked up a copy of Smithsonian magazine in the waiting room and didn't even finish two articles and it was time to go.

My wife just retired and I am trying to get us out there next month. We'll see.

Take care and follow the doctors orders.

I had it (in both eyes - 3 months apart), a few years ago. After seeing the result in the first eye, couldn't wait to get the second one done!!

So I second the reassurances above!

Welcome back. I haven't got to that stage just yet but when I was studying stone tools in my archaeology course I learned that up until the 1980s we were still using blades fashioned from obsidian for cataract surgery. The last of our "stone age" tools. Now it's lasers, of course.

Thank you all for the welcome! The cataract surgery only took 20-30 minutes and I had each eye done a week apart. Now I have near 20/20 in my left eye and 20/15 in my right. And my right eye is my shooting eye!
