My name is Matt I just signed up to this forum

Brand new to photography and bought a k-70 last month

Excited for the new hobby

attended a astrophotography workshop last night at picketpost mountain and shot these with the help of a friendly fellow pentax member Interested_Observer whom i met out there - He was a huge help!

Hi Matt,

Welcome to the Forum! Matt picked up his camera a few weeks ago, and immediately took this Milky Way photography class, so these are essentially some of his first images with the camera. We ran into each other out in the desert shooting for the class. These are straight out of the camera images - I don't think that he has any post processing software yet.

He's a really enthusiastic new photographer - I think that he's might be posting some pretty unique images.
