Need a new camera

I went from a K7 to a gently used K3 and would definitely recommend that option. It has all the features you would likely ever need, it's rugged, takes the same battery as your K7 and the jump in iso performance was very noticeable.

It really depends on your patience, budget, willingness to get the very last innovations from pentax.
I was waiting for K3 III for almost 2 years and finally decided to go for the KP some weeks ago with no regret.
From K5II it is a huge upgrade and there are opportunities here and there to get KP at a very affordable price tag, which wont be the case for K3 III for sure.

At long last, with the recent price drop I purchased the KP. I am waiting for delivery.
