Hello from Prince George

After a pause of decades, I'm going back to film photography. My old Mamiya-Sekor 500 TL disappeared somehow (sigh) so I have a Pentax Spotmatic II on the way. I'll be looking for decent M42 lenses, particularly Takumars. I never did have a darkroom setup but way back, I did help a friend with his. I'm toying with the idea of getting back into that as well. I'm looking forward to a return to film!

Stephen

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the Spotmatic. Be sure to check out the film SLR section here. Lots of great info and helpful people there.

BTW, I grew up north of Fort St John and have been through Prince George quite a few times and have played hockey there.

Welcome, Stephen. Another PGer here. I used to shoot an old Model D Rolleiflex until it succumbed to old age. Went digital in 2007. Still run a few rolls through my LX and MX. Will likely run into each other in town sometime. - Jack

Welcome. The Spotmatic is a solid machine and will perform as if new, if it is serviced well. The later plastic and electronic creations leave me cold. Enjoy the quality.

Welcome to the forum and also to what I call "real photography"... after spending many analogue years in wee dark rooms.
