Hello from the Wirral, UK

Thought I should probably introduce myself to my fellow Pentaxians - Im Neal and I'm in the UK - sunny Wirral (sometimes anyway..)

Been a pentax user with k30t since the late 90's, and then never looked at any alternatives! - I mean, why would you? when you can still use all these lenses.

Bought a used K100d super after realising compacts just weren't adequate anymore - probably 10 years ago now....still use it a little (I see no reason to upgrade for more pixels really as long as I don't expect to clip photos..)

Having said that, I found a fantastic pentax Q a year ago - and I just had to have it. Its small, its light, the lenses are tiny and its fun to take photos again - it gets used much more frequently than my DSLR nowadays. Its more than adequate for my needs...now if only I could find a Q7 or Q-S1 to go with my recently purchased 08 lens.....

Pentax q 08 recently purchased - Thought it would be a good for taking interior photos of my completed projects ...being a self employed architect (tried the fish eye, but not having much luck with the focusing!)

Welcome Neal.

The best luck I've had with the Q + 03 Fisheye is to use the punch in focus by hitting the 'ok' button then manually focusing on the most distant object in the frame.

Welcome Neal,

Tough I'm now mostly based in China, I grew up on the Wirral (West Kirby). Looking forward to seeing your work with the Q.

Best wishes,

Steven
