Welcome! I envy you, I use older cameras. I can't wait till these are outdated and people like me will swoop down on one.

Lovely images! How does the 50mm 1.4 handle on your KP? I also have a KP but don't use it much. However, the 75mm focal length equivalent using the 50mm makes me think how good it will be for portraits.

Post more images - would love to see them!
Hi Jeff

The 50/1.4 is a wonderful lens and the focal length perfect for portraits when married to the KP but the combination is not entirely well balanced. It is better matched, size-wise, to the K1 but then it's a little short for portraits like this. In the end it's about what is in the bag at that moment. All things aside though, the 50/1.4 is one of the nicest rendering lenses I've used.

There are more pictures here: Vincent Van Walt - APF Claudia and Miguel

All best, Vincent

Thank you all for the friendly welcomes

Yes, the models were very photogenic and also not camera shy which helps enormously.

Way to go, with that kit, I now question my ability to consider myself Pentax-ian.

Thanks for sharing a few images!

Excellent kit! I'd say Yes, you sure can call yourself a Pentaxian! That 50mm sure does look sweet on the K-1, doesn't it?!

And I suppose I owe you some pictures while I'm still solvent.
