Hanimex 100mm F2 lens.

Hi I'm new here, I found this lens on ebay and thought I put a bid in for 25 for it and won ! Hanimex 100mm f/2 P/K mount lens.
I can't find any information on it at all. It's not even. on the Hanimex list of lenses. Is it a rebranded Soligor 100mm f/2 ?

Welcome and hope you find this forum useful in your journey of photography.

The Hanimax brand is an off-brand much like vivitar, soligor, kiron and other 3rd party lens makers. In general lens performance varies a great deal (at least from my samples), hope you score a good one.

Welcome to the Forums. I had a Hanimex as my first telephoto lens on my first SLR (non-Pentax). It served me well although I was even less knowledgeable then than I am now.

I used to have more than one Hanimex lens, now I only kept one which is a m42 screw mount 28mm/f2.8 lens with M/A switch. This one is all metal lens with anodized based so in order to use the "catch-in-focus" feature, I had to use a piece of aluminum foil to short the pins. It works quite well that way, except in this case, I can use the center focus point. Look forward to see how your Hanimex 100/f2 lens work out.
