Back to film...

I just got a K2 in very good condition... with a butt-load of lenses.

Currently, the only thing bugging me is that I do not have a hot shoe cover. Any help?

There will certainly be bigger issues on down the line.

Why is a hot shoe cover needed? Cosmetics? Mine are always stored away...

Welcome to Pentax Forums.
Ooh, the K2, one of my favorite cameras.
Be gentle with the ASA dial, don't break it accidently.

Welcome from the UK! My K2 doesn't have a hot shoe cover, but it currently has a film in it.

The K Series bodies did not come with a hot-shoe cover, so no need to worry. I've been using my KX without a hot-shoe cover since I bought new in 1975 and have had no issues. If any moisture gets on the hot-shoe just use a tissue to wipe it off.

Enjoy shooting film.
