Hello and Guten Tag from Germany

Hi everyone,

my name is Marco. I'm from Germany, living near the Polish and Czech border. I'm photographing since my childhood. My father brought me into it. He shot slides mainly but also developed black&white film in our kitchen. We kids loved it. I also loved looking through the viewfinder as a child seeing the image getting clear in the microsprism

A feeling quite lost by modern focus peaking and autofocus (which have their own advantages)
The first shot I remember taking myself was of a marmot about 30 years ago... I was 10 by then.
Since I own my own cameras I always worked with Pentax since I am the kind of guy who does not want to do as "most people do". So I started with istDL, K200d and finally with my beloved K-3.
I've been lurking on this forum for ages already without registering. Mainly because of the great lens reviews and the 6MP club

I started out with film too (Canon AE-1 program) and I still miss those lovely bright viewfinders with micro prisms (although the K-1 has great viewfinder, but its still not as bright).
