New to Pentax here. Haven't actually taken a picture with one yet. I'm getting back into film for a while, and thought I'd try the medium format route. The 6x7 looks like a solid choice, so I took the plunge and got a body. I'm waiting for a viewfinder and lens to show up. I found a 150mm f/2.8 for a decent price, which I think should make a decent portrait lens. Don't know where I'll go with the 6x7 after that. Just looking forward to shooting film again.

Welcome! Have fun with that 6x7! I've never used one but I hear it's a nice piece of kit.

Welcome to the forums! My only experience with medium format has been with a Ricohmatic 225 TLR that is as old as I am, yet still produces amazing results! Good luck with your efforts!

Yeah, I switched to DSLR after my old Minolta X-570 froze up about 15 years ago. I've been doing more photography lately, and was considering upgrading the DSLR body, but decided I want to hold off on that until I see where Nikon is going with mirrorless. Anyway, I was holding my X-570 for the first time in years, and realized how much I enjoyed film. I don't know how long the current film trend will last, but it's a good time to get some great old gear cheap, for those who have never or have missed using it.
