Hello from CT/NJ/NY

It's been wonderful ownership experience since I picked up my K200D in July 08. My wife and I are expecting a new born in January 09, and that was a reason good enough for me to move onto DSLR world, and I'm more than glad that I picked up Pentax for the occasion.

I initially ordered Oly E510 with two kits from 6ave for a pretty good price, but shortly after the order I found this gem. I ordered the Pentax and returned E510. My gut feeling said Pentax was it, and I'm glad I stuck with it.

Ever since the purchase of the camera with kit lens, I purchased Tamron 70-300mm (because it is quite inexpensive at around $130) and bought the infamous FA 50mm F/1.4. I picked up a sling bag from Sam's Club for a pretty good price, but most of my gears are ordered from Amazon. I'll probably add a decent tripod and a good lens for indoor use.

Now FA 50mm is nice, but I'm looking into a better piece of glass for indoor use. I've been checking the posts and threads on DA 16-50mm F/2.8, but I'm not sure if I want to take a chance and go through the hassle like a lot of the posts said. I know this is introduction thread, but if you Pentax pros can direct me to the right direction for a really good piece of lens to shoot for my first child, that will be super!

All in all, Pentax became one of my best sidekicks!
