Recently got my first DSLR, a Pentax K-50 with kit lens. Compared to my film shooting days, I learned more about how to use a camera in 1 week with my DSLR than I did in years of shooting film. Really enjoying getting back to photography. Will post some reviews on my camera and some manual lenses I've been trying out.

Another welcome from Australia. I had a similar experience to yours with the change to digital, although I thought I knew a lot about photography when using my film Pentaxes. DSLRs made me think a fair bit harder about a number of issues I'd previously not had to consider too much, monochrome film latitude for example being more forgiving (although sensor dynamic range is improving, now).

K-50 is a pretty capable camera, I've been using mine for almost 4 years now.
