Not a newbie, a forgottenie.

Hello, boys and girls.

I could swear that I registered here long ago, and was very active, but the site isn’t recognizing my email info and forgot me, so I registered again.

Anyway, I’m getting back into the hobby, using my old K-x no less. I have a huge arsenal of classic old M42 lenses, but here’s the deal:

I’m not adverse to buying a new body, but I have a huge legal settlement coming in a few weeks, and also want to buy some new modern zoom lenses. So let me go THERE now and post my my questions.

Thanks for having me!

What questions would those be? Always happy to help.

The K-x is a fine body. A used K-s2 or k-70 would be cheap and a nice upgrade though.

Nothing wrong with the K-x. I have also recently 'rediscovered' mine on the dusty shelf...

Has anyone else experienced that? I took some great photos with the K-x, until I bought a second hand K20D. And the K20 was eclipsed by the K-3, which was eclipsed by the K-1... for landscapes at least. It's as if the newer technology affects your ability to use the predecessor! Or maybe it's your mind justifying the expense of the upgrade?

Welcome back from the Highlands of Scotland, you'll just need to write it all down... but remembering where you put that list is the next problem.

Damn IRA back when you had 200 likes and I had 7, someone asked you how you got so many likes, and you said "You hang around and help a few people and they add up." You were my inspiration.

I can't even remember how long ago that was.

Any way today I shoot action with a K-3 and Landscape with a K-1. My wife left her camera home by accident going 150 miles away, and is borrowing her old K-x from my daughter-in-law who happens to own it now nice, nice camera.

For the M42 lenses definitely a K-1 or K-1ii. Beyond that, I don't remember what you shoot so, I'll leave it there.
