I too am in a similar situation. Aside from 2 friends that I have sold a K-x, I have only met a single person shooting with Pentax and that just happened 7 days ago when I joined my local photography club.
I purposely look for what brand others shoot with.
I am happy to have found another Pentaxian in person and away from this website - finally after 2 or 3 years of looking.
