Replacement SLR dslr body

I have an MZ-5n SLR body with an SMC Pentax FA 28-200 Lens. Do any of you know the right dslr body to replace?

Welcome.

You won't find a DSLR body with controls like the MZ-5n. All Pentax DSLRs use one of the e-dials to set shutter speed and aperture. You can use the aperture ring in M mode only with stop down metering.

The K-1 II is the Pentax full frame, but the D FA 28-105 isn't as long as the FA 28-200. The APS-C KP or K-70 with the DA 18-135 would give you the same reach.

Hi and welcome.

That lens will work with any Pentax DSLR camera.

Kind regards,
Mark

A couple options would be to get a K-70 or a KP with the DA 18-135mm (to replace your 28-200mm), or keep the 28-200mm and use it with a K-1. You could also get the D FA 28-105mm to replace the 28-200mm, which is outclassed even by cheaper modern zooms.

Welcome to the forum! Try to find a store that has the K-1ii or the KP in stock. They are the nicest full frame and apsc cameras currently available. Your lens will work well with either camera. Also read the reviews on this forum. Good luck.

if the OP is considering purchasing " experienced [ used ] " equipment

the forum's marketplace is an excellent place to check

it can be sorted for items from a specific country
