Hello Everyone: New member from Ontario, Canada (Kenner) Super Program

> bought the camera in early 1980 and haven't used it all in the last 15 years or so; a few days back decided to get film and new batteries and the viewfinder lcd display wouldn't show; neither would the display on the top window by the film advance lever show anything.

> lightly pressed the shutter button a couple of times and the lcd's were showing; took a few frames with and without the flash without issue.

> went to use it this afternoon and absolutely no lcd info showing at all in either view windows; tested the batteries and they showed full voltage; cleaned the contacts on the lens and camera body and battery compartment (the camera was stored without the batteries) and still, no lcd info; doesn't matter which lens is attached; have repeatedly pressed and held the shutter button but it's as though there are no batteries, but there are;

suggestions?

Hi Kenner. Welcome to the forum. You might get more help putting your question in the film camera section lower down the front page.. Not everyone reads this section. I am sure there are people there who can help you.

Welcome to the Forums, from Australia. Sorry I can't offer any suggestions but I am sure there are those who can. I would be surprised if it is not a fairly simple issue. Those older camera are pretty rugged.

I love the camera, but unless it has a lot of sentimental value it isn't worth fixing (sadly). You can likely get the same camera for under $50.
