I've been trying to learn about digital cameras and photography in gerneral. I have a Fujifilm Finepix F20 that we bought for a trip to England back in 2006 and a Sony Mavica that uses floppy discs. I used the Sony for residential real estate appraisal back around 2002-2006.

Before that I had a Pentax K1000 that I was learning to use for shooting cars at shows and museums for fun. Things happen and the K1000 was put away and forgot about for the most part. As I've been reading about using the digital equipment I remembered the Pentax, found it and the lens I had picked up for it. When I bought the Pentax I was working for a automobile restoration shop. We also built commercial vans and buses.
Anyway this was back in the mid 1980's. So I've forgot most of what I had learned back then.

With internet I've been able to download a K1000 users manual and found this forum. I'm on several forums, Garage Journal, Chevy Truck and Corvette to name the main ones stay up on.

Glad to have found this forum and look forward to learning and relearning about Pentax and photography.

I live in central Arkansas on a small man made lake (Lake Norrell) so I have plenty to photograph.
I'm wanting to post pictures of my 1962 Chevy C10 that I'm building and pictures of my C5 vette upgrades on the forums.

My wife and I are both retired and enjoying it.

Welcome to the forum from Arizona. If you decide to go to Pentax DSLR, you will be able to use your K1000 lens. The forus is a good place for information
