new and looking for another Pentx

Hi just registered so I am new here. I am looking for a K70 or Kp to upgrade from my Kx. I have had it for about 10 years (real antique). I enjoy but it is time to enter the modern age.

G'day from Australia. Welcome to the forums.
I upgraded from the K-x to the K-70 and I am totally happy with my choice. I was still using my K-x until I purchased the K-70 but then decided to upgrade my K-x to a K-r because they use the same batteries.
Now my K-r is my 2nd camera.
I hope you find these forums as helpful and friendly as I have.

Another "Hi" from Australia. The KP is supposed to be very good. But there is a new APS-C flagship just below the horizon. You may want to wait for it to surface!

I have a KP and love it, but you really cannot go wrong with either the KP or the K70. The choice comes down to features and price. The new APSC flagship will likely cost more than a KP.

I have the K70 and agree with Ausable.

Welcome to the forums, and I think if you want another camera that could last you at least 10 years, the KP is probably the one!

k 70 thanks

Thank you all for the replies. I may wait for the new Pentax to come out and then the Kp might drop in price. Thanks again

Hello Welcome from UK. I has exactly the same decision to make 2 weeks ago! Had my ancient Pentax K20 and wash itch to get a new better one! Luckily first half of January Pentax had some offers on Cameras and got my new Pentax KP for 688. If I would be late with that I would probably go for K-70 as this is around 500-600 now and KP is 1000 now. Big change.

I'm supper happy and excited with my Pentax KP, but I read a lot before making my choice and really, I'm pretty sure I would be happy with K-70 too. Have a look on pictures made by both on Flickr or Instagram, difference is not HUGE.

If you're on a budget get K-70 and I'm excited to follow your journey However if you choose KP we can talk about how much we both love this one, hehe.

Kind regards
