Welcome. Excellent choice of equipment. The 15mm is an unusual interesting choice for a first lens. All the best with your endeavors.

Welcome to the forum and welcome to Pentax! You picked a great camera in the KP, make sure your read the manual and do a lot of online research on the features as the KP is feature rich. The 15 limited is a fantastic little jewel, it renders some wonderful wide angle images. I shoot a K-3 and last year acquired a HD 15 Limited and the lens really impressed me with its rendering.

Make yourself at home and don't be afraid to ask questions.

Larry

Welcome! You are certainly well equipped with the kit you described. It's not clear from your intro if you have any understanding of the basics of photography or not, but some YouTube or PF tutorials will get you familiar with the relationship of shutter, aperture and ISO. Other tutorials, or books, regarding composition will teach you how to create in image in your head before you even press the shutter button.

I recommend you both enjoy shooting in Auto (program) mode just to get used to using the camera. Also, try one new setting or feature every day or two, as your schedule allows. Experiment by changing one setting at a time and looking at the results. You have bought the equivalent of a Ferrari, it will do almost anything you need to do to create an image, but it will take a little time and practice to learn it well and make the most of it.

I encourage you to NOT to feel the need to buy any other lenses for at least 30 days, most of the features are in your camera, become familiar with them and the lens you have, then branch out to other lenses if necessary or desired. There is NO "magic gear" that will make your images great.

Finally, don't be afraid to try anything and everything, but Read the Manual!

I look forward to seeing your pictures.
