Hello from Sweden!

Hello everyone.

I have been a reader for some time but decided to become a member and participate in this wonderful forum.

I took some photography courses in highschool, everything fully manual, Nikon fm2, 50 mm prime, and B/W film. The school had a nice studio with a big darkroom. After school it was a olympus point and shoot for maybe 10 years until my wife and i decided to get a better camera.

Enter Pentax.
The two local camera shops both recommended pentax, especially when i talked about taking photos and not just pictures, if you get my point. So we got a k500 with the double lens kit. And because I wanted something simpler also like the fm2 from school, got a P30T on "Tradera", a swedish action site. And when i think the p30t is to electric i also got a chinon Cm-4.

And with the solenoid problem showing its ugly head this christmas, I lucked out and found a lightly used k50 with tripod, extra battery, remote control and a bigger camera bag than our own för the same price as fixing the k500.

Finally i would like to say that i am glad to be here and just to ruffle some feathers, my dream pentax camera...

A full frame, Me size body with de-crippled k-mount. Mechanical shutter with lever, a useful focusing screen and no auto anything. A Pentax version of the Epson rd-1.

Best regards,
Johan

HI Johan. Another welcome from Australia. Like you, I sometimes wonder what a manual digital body would be like and if it would sell.

Welcome Joohan! By the way, one can get quite some good old pentax manual lenses on Tradera, worth monitoring!
