Greetings from Brisbane

Just a quick hello from Brisbane, Australia.

I bought an *ist DS from eBay a few weeks ago and came across this forum while researching.
Certainly was a big help in the decision process.

The camera has proved to be a good buy despite its age and I am enjoying the learning process.
I have added a couple of 50mm lenses to the mix (1.7 Pentax M, 2.8 FA Macro) as well as the 18-55 DAL. Maybe a telephoto in the future.
Or two... and a KP body if or when I can afford it

Should I seek help now or let the obsession run its course?

Welcome Mike.
I started the same way. You learn a lot in those first 10,000 shots.
And it's the most enjoyable phase.
The Kp will be a huge step up in capability from the *ist.
