Old Pentax fan

Hi everyone

Yesterday I joined the forum, which I think is very worthwile as it has already provided very useful answers to problems I had with my cameras. I posses two, a K20D and K-m. I bought them second hand since I have a small purse. I am happy with the relatively low number of pixels. These cameras, dating from 2008, are technically sufficiently advanced to challenge me. I started using Pentax cameras about 40 years ago with a new Pentax ME Super (now a museum piece). A major reason I continued using Pentax cameras in the digital age is the unique opportunity I have to use my old but high quality, analogue time, Pentax lenses on my digital cameras. Of course, I have to use them in M mode. But that is what I prefer anyway.

Welcome from Australia. There are quite a few of here who qualify as "old" in years rather than attitude. But we are all enjoy using Pentax cameras and/or lenses.

Another welcome from Australia. Your experience is similar to many of ours, here, which says something about the age demographic, but has the advantage that there’s a wealth of knowledge to draw on, should you need it.

After a while, you may even find yourself taking your ME Super out of the museum and using it (I assume you still have it)!
