New to this site and photography

Hello all,

I just happened upon this site a few moments ago wile surfing the net. I thought I would join because I have recently begun to take pictures with an old Pentax K1000 that belonged to my mom. She passed about 15 years ago, but it was only last month that I saw it on the shelf and wondered if it still worked. I haven't developed any film from it yet, so it's still unknown to me if the camera works. I sure hope so!

I really don't know that much about photography. Anyway, I just wanted to say "hi."
