Pentax Spotmatic

Hi, I'm in good little New Zealand (almost covid-19 free). I bought my first SLR Pentax in Honk Kong in 1967. In the 70's I traded it for a second hand Spotmatic. Now in the digital age I'm want to sell it on. Only problem is the built-in light meter does not appear to work. I swapped batteries, but still no luck. The batteries I have are V44PX and PX400, but I can't find anyone who sells them. Can anyone make suggestions? I have tried cleaning the battery contacts and adjusting the ASA dial. But no luck.

I'm having trouble navigating this site. I was trying to find the gentleman who suggested a whole bunch of batteries suitable for my spotmatic last week. I just wanted to express my thanks for that info. I searched the web high and low for battery suppliers but couldn't find anyone who could supply any of the suggested battery types. But great surprise, when shopping at our local Pack n Save in Cameron road, Tauranga - on the 'Energiser' battery display there it was - an E392. I couldn't believe my luck! At $2.80 it was a bargain. I smartly fitted into the camera and 'low and behold' the meter came to life! So I'm forever grateful for that advise - thanks very much. PS: In my next visit to Pack n Save I noticed there was only one more E392 on the display, so I snapped it up as a spare.
