I’ve the last 60 years I have used and owned a S1a, an MX, a ME Super and a K1000. I was an art teacher and added Photography to our curriculum at school. Since the students were using K1000s, it seemed only proper that I should use the same. When digital cameras in, I bought a K200, and subsequently a K3, which, at my age, I am unlikely to replace. In all that time, I have only experienced two faults: the MX with its gallium lightmeter was very unreliable And ate batteries, and my K1000, which I have not used for at least 20 years, has now acquired a great fungal growth, on the inside, presumably, of the pentaprism. Favourite camera? The ME Super; I gained my LRPS with it!
