Hey everyone, I'm Nick from South Carolina, USA. I've been mainly a Canon dslr guy for quite a while but recently got the bug to try film photography. At one point I had dabbled with astrophotography so I had a decent selection of m42 lenses. I had also picked up a mint k1000 from an estate sale for next to nothing a few years back just to sit with my vintage and antique camera collection. When I started doing research on a good film camera to use, I began to drift towards getting a minolta until I realized that just about every list I came across listed the k1000 as a great camera. Looking forward to getting into photography again in a brand new way!

Welcome Nick,

I do mostly digital (K-50 and amazing KP) but recently acquired a Pentax MX and had it rehabilitated so I could dabble into film. There are some extremely knowledgable members posting in the film forums and I am learning just by reading them and asking questions. It's always good to have new voices!
