Hello all, coming back to photography after 30 years..

Hello all,

I'm coming back to photography after 30 years of taking pics from my phone.

My old setup was a Ricoh KR 10 super with a few lens's using the Pentax K mount, hense it's why i've bought this new to me Pentax K-R, and if i've done my homework properly I can use my old gear.

Anyway thats all from me In Port Talbot, South Wales.

Mike

Welcome from North Carolina USA! Yes any k-mount lens will work and with an adapter you can use the Takumar (or other) m42 mount lenses. Post questions as there are a lot of knowledgeable people here.

Welcome Mike I am not 100% certain which lenses are affected but some Ricoh lenses have a pin which jams on the Pentax k mount. Search ricoh pin on here for more info other k mount lenses are fine

Welcome. Something else to know is that digital Pentax cameras do not have an aperture coupling, so the body doesn't know where you've set the aperture ring on a lens that has an aperture ring. There are ways of dealing with this as well. Something else to be aware of. The lenses you own should otherwise be compatible.
