Hello from the Lone Star State

Hi, I'm brand new to the forum. I live in Grapevine, Texas, which is just Northwest of DFW airport. My first film SLR back in the early 70's was a Pentax. I sold my Olympus E-1 back in October and just recently acquired a K10D along with the DA 16-45mm, FA 50mm f/1.4, FA 28-70 f/4 and A 70-210mm lenses. I've already enjoyed reading numerous posts on this site and I look forward to learning more from the many helpful people here.

Just because I don't know and I'm assuming here, is DFW = Dallas/Fort Worth?

i'm in mesquite. welcome to the board. do you know of any good places to shoot around the lake? i've gotten together with another member here and we shot white rock lake once. i do a lot of work in your neigborhood

Yes, DFW stands for Dallas/Fort Worth . . . .

Hi Roy,

I don't get out to Grapevine lake that often. I need to do some exploring there. The downtown and historic district of Grapevine are good for photos. My wife and I own the bed and breakfast in Grapevine. There are numerous old, historic type homes and the vintage railroad station presents good photo opportunities.
