Originally posted by bjbeach I recently retired (Jan 2020) and purchased a 14 year old Pentax K100D (with only1,290 shutter count) in order to make use of some vintage lenses I was given. I saw a Youtube video about the Six Megapixel Club in this forum so hope to hang around there and post some images in the future.
Looking forward learning and interacting with people on the forum.

Hi Barry,
I was up in Ontario two summers ago to tour Niagara and the area... Very nice!
Congrats on your K100...
As it happens, I started out in digital (after 30 years of having Pentax film cameras...) with a Kodak DS5200 point and shoot (it was only 6 MP) and I gotta say for medium format printing (8 X 10s and the like) the image quality was stellar...
The point is, back in 2000 there were only one or two sensor makers so our sensors are probably the same... (with the K100 having much better software and support packaging).
Enjoy your experience and Welcome to the Forum.
Cheers,
Bob
