I bought the camera and a 43mm lens for documentation in my studio of temporary sculptures and printing at large sizes. I am not a great photographer but getting better all the time given the mundane subject matter. I have joined the forums in the hope of getting some equipment and technique advice for studio photography of objects.

Welcome from the USA... (Please don't hold that against me...)
I would say that shooting images of your own sculptures is a fitting extension of your artistic ability...
I'm so happy with the sensitivity range of my K-1 it make shooting in near darkness nearly effortless... Add creative lighting and WOW!!!
Like the commercial for a suit company we have here in the states says... "You're going to like the way you look!"
Cheers!
