New to Pentax from Tennessee

Hi, Iíve been around the SLR world for years, but new to Pentax K mounts. I say that because Iíve used M42 mounts on my Yashica Electroís for years. Recently a friend gave me 2 of his very used K1000ís for me to restore and with Lots of work, Iíve got one functional again. Really great camera for all around shooting. Canít wait to try out som other Pentax models.

Welcome! That's awesome. I've played with only but a few M42 mounts on my digital body K5iis. Although I recently parted with a Super ME.

I picked up a m42-k mount converter and have been using my lenses on one of the K1000ís. Works nicely. How are you enjoying using the m42s On you K5iis?

I know you didn't ask me specifically, but I'd just say they're great in the right shooting conditions. As with any lens (especially vintage), once you know what conditions to avoid, you can get great results. Without knowing what you have, I'll just say, coatings seem to make a big difference.

Any tips are greatly appreciated. I'm always open to new info and please to share as well

Thanks, neighbor! I’ve spent some time in Georgia many years ago when my Dad owned a farm there. Beautiful country and good people!
