I am essentially a Canon shooter an I own two Canionfull frame cameras, an EOS 6Das well as a mirrorless EOS R and a respectable although eclectic collection of Canon glass. I am looking to purchase a reasonably priced apsc camera and have good memories of the Pentax equipment I've owned in the past. In fact I still have a couple of 35mm film Pentax cameras. I don't require much and the K-70 looks like a good choice. My main concern is my ability to use my Canon glass. Any thing you can advise is greatly appreciated.

Welcome! The K70 is a wonderful and “value for money” camera. Have you searched for available adapters?
Edit: I see a fellow member has a reference to the Fotodiox adapter. As far as I know, these are quite fair for their price. They include the correction element (I needed it) and are pretty well built.

Welcome back to the dark side!

Sharing lenses between my digital and film bodies is one of my favorite Pentax features.

It's relatively easy to use k-mount (Pentax) glass on Canon bodies. See for instance https://www.adorama.com/kalaeosrpxd.html and Vello Pentax K Lens to Canon EF-S-Mount Camera Lens LA-CEF-PK

Going the other way is not quite so easy. I can only find one option and I'm not sure this will work for you: FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Canon FD Lens to FD-PK-PRO

Welcome to the forum! The K-70 was my replacement choice after picking up digital from shooting Pentax SP in the past! Love it!

Hello, and thank you for your response. I haven't been able to find any adapters that allow me to use my Canon glass on K mount Pentax cameras. It is an unfortunate factor as I own a significant number of Canon lenses, both L type as well as regular. I appreciate your input. Thanks again.

I own some 4 FD lenses and would be able to use these with the K-70. I shoot mostly in manual so the electronic connectors would be of no account. As a traveling camera, the reason for which I want the k-70, the use of the electronic communication can be nice. My problem is economic, a good travel lens for the camera would set me back some $500 t0 $600. I will look at the Fotodiox adapter. Thank you.
