Hello - from the UK.

I have been using Pentax for about 46 years starting with a Spotmatic F. My K10D has expired and won't power up even with a new battery, so have gone for a KP. I don't really do video so the reported slow autofocus shouldn't be a problem. I intend to get the gps unit and try a bit of astrophotography which should keep me busy.

I hope the KP lasts longer than the K10D (about 14 years).

Welcome from a KP owner in North Carolina US. Coming from the K10D is a big jump you will love what the KP can do once you get the hang of it.

Welcome Steve... If you want to have some fun with that KP and GPS unit, check out the Samyang 135mm F2 ED UMC lens for astrophotography... google it, you'll see some eye popping astro images. All the best!
