Hello my name is Li (pronounced as Lee) and my pronouns are he/theyshe. I'm 21 y/o from california and just purchased a used pentax IQZoom 928 point and shoot camera. I have no knowledge about cameras in general but i have a liking for other peoples photography. other interests include horror movies, music of all kinds, makeup (more so on myself than doing others) and playing animal crossing new leaf. i hope to learn about general things of photography here and understand the camera i have and ones i would get in the future

Welcome to Pentax Forums.

With the use of cameras (hands on shooting) and checking resources such as the camera manual, along with analyzing your images, a lot can be learned. Also, other resources such as youtube videos, and available photography definitions on the internet and in books if you need them are helpful. For me, I found hands on use of my equipment to be valuable, using basic and advanced functions as I progressed.

Of course the most attractive learning method for you is your choice.

Hi Li, welcome to the forum. I think you did well to go with something compact and a little bit basic (that I hope was quite affordable, as well). Too many jump in with a big initial purchase and are then locked out of better options (better for their specific needs). Once you figure out what you like or don't like about the experience, I'm sure we can advise you further.
