Vintage Lens Modifier

Hi all to the Pentax group!....................I go by golferboy, and I have many vintage film cameras and lenses, which I repair clean adjust and modify!....I normally use a Canon FF 6D or a 1200 crop for all of my photography.........I prefer to shoot with vintage lenses as I find the high quality modern day lenses rather uniform in their sharpness and IQ, and the vintage lenses such as the Pentax, Vivitar series 1, Minolta, Pentacon etc. much more interesting with their individual characteristics!

Unless in prime condition, I usually disassemble, clean, adapt and modify many of these vintage lenses to fit modern cameras, and have many still to finish in my collection!

Although photography is a much loved hobby, that I have enjoyed for many years!....I find it comes about mostly during the testing of my lenses after repairs and mods these days!

I have really enjoyed and appreciated this Pentax forums site for the invaluable info on lenses and repairs it has offered me these many years, not to mention the amazing photography and very plentiful and useful advice to be gleaned!!!

Welcome from South Africa. Kindly share detailed information on lenses you have disassembled and cleaned on the Lens Disassembly Database (Pentax Lens Disassembly Database - Page 13 - PentaxForums.com) so other enthusiasts can make use of it.
Best.

Welcome. You have my admiration as I have tried to take apart some vintage lenses to clean them and ended up with a big oooops trying to re-assemble them.

Thanks!............As one Scotsman to another!..................I feel I should warn you, that anyone possessing such a named quantity of quality lenses as yourself, could possibly be construed as having had dealings with the Cailleach!
