A forum in 2020? Okay!

I shoot a lot of different camera systems - Canon full-frame and APS-C, Panasonic and Olympus micro four thirds, Fuji, and lately Pentax. I find myself more attracted to focal lengths 50mm (or equivalent) and above than that more wide angle ones, but shoot pretty much all over the place.

I've spent 2020 investing more in intentional photography rather than snapshots, but 2020 pretty much sucked, right?

I lurk here, but figured I'd post an intro finally.
So... Hello.

Welcome to the group, I think most of us lurked about before joining the site. And there are a lot of people here that are into multiple systems and into digital and film. You're certainly right about 2020. I've not heard the term "intentional photography", but I kind of like it

Intentional photography is how I differentiate between getting a snapshot and actually composing a photograph. I've had my share of happy accidents when taking snapshots, but I want to be able to cultivate a better eye, capture more (or less) drama in a scene, see things from a different perspective.

Make any more sense?

I'm often a lurker.

I also use multiple platforms and feel slightly ashamed when I share something not from my Pentax so I don't unless it's in conversation. I recently discovered there are threads and groups aimed at our "other brand" stuff.

Welcome from South Africa. I'm glad you joined as the forum has much to offer and it would be nice to see some of your "intentional" images.
Best.

If 2020 caused you to become more intentional in capturing images, it was not too bad.

Welcome! Join some groups and post some pictures
