Finally on the forum

Hello Pentax lovers,

After some research I found this forum (again) My name is Ernst Thiel and I was interested in Pentax long ago, when I had a PX67. Beautiful camera, great lenses, but heavy. After realizing that I was a bad photographer I sold some of that stuff.

And as usual if you don't have it anymore you know what you miss. But I was already collecting Canon rangefinder and Pentax went to the background. But when I became recently interested in the Japanese screw lenses I purchased a Kyoei 135mm. When I received it the mount was not M39 but M37. And then the Pentax fire was started again and now I try to learn more about Asahiflex and of course my old love the Pentax 6x7. These days a bit more affordable. So I have some pages to read here.
I hope to post something interesting in the near future.

Welcome to the forum! Maybe you rushed into photography in a wrong way. Idk , but I don’t think that “wasn’t a good photographer” came out right. I don’t think there’s such a thing. You should try to give more credit to yourself. I hope you enjoy your gear and share some great photos. Best wishes for the new year.
