New 645z owner

Beautiful shots. I love my 645Z and have a 645D as "backup" as well as a K1. The K1 doesnt get much use since I bought the Z.

Stuck here, locked down in the dull south, seeing fantastic shots of the mountains, hurts. Adding into the mix, you've just splashed out on 645Z gear just increases the pain.

I'm feeling even more deflated :-(

... of course I should add, through gritted teeth, ... welcome aboard.

I cannot imagine it would - the K1 sports the same sensor as my old D810 - very good but not as good as the Z. You might find the K1 has a place - with a longer lens attached. Smaller sensors work better with more distant subjects. The 645z will be my main camera and I'll keep the D810 and 70-200 2.8 for the rare times I need a tighter field of view than 85mm on the Z

Thanks - there is pain my end too - thanks to this madness the Z isn't up in Glencoe or Skye kicking ass...but confined to my front room.

In the end I couldn't resist eBay and have from Japan coming a lovely 200mm F4 and 80-160 with AF. I'll keep an eye out for a 300 f4 and that's me lens wise for this beast.

Really great photographs. I for one, do not tire of seeing photographs of Scottish mountains and glens. Last time I went to Skye, we drove into fog on the bridge and didn't see the sun again for a week.

That's sadly an all too familiar tale. Skye is not too far from me in the car so I just go for a morning then come back again. Can't wait to get my 645z up there

How good is that camera gonna be here - the D810 was no slouch at all
