New to the forum,

Hi all,

Seems I'm required to make a post to get messaging privileges so I'll introduce myself.

I started digital photography in 2001 with a 640x480 p&s, then a Canon A75 around 2004, first ILC was a Nikon D60 around 2009.

Got away from photography for a while before getting back into mirrorless with a Fujifilm X-A1 in 2015. Very nearly went Sony A6000 at that time.

Currently I have too many cameras but X-H1, X-T20 and X-E2 are my main options I suppose. Along with a cabinet full of 1st party, 3rd party and vintage lenses.

Somehow I've convinced myself that I might want to try a Pentax SLR (undecided between K3ii and KP) so for that reason I've been browsing the forum and lens reviews.

I don't currently own any Pentax cameras but I do have a few lenses: 24mm f2.8, 50mm f1.7, 135mm f2.5, 200mm f2.5 and an M42 55mm f1.8.

This forum seems to have a wealth of information so happy to be a part of the community.

Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy time spent here, it is a great resource for Pentax equipment as well as photography in general.

The K-3 II and KP are both quite capable. I think I would lean towards a KP but there are advantages to both.

Welcome to the forum. I can say I've been impressed with Pentax photography equipment since early in my photo avocation. One of my earliest cameras was the K1000 SE (film) and when I started into digital decided I would continue with Pentax. I've not been disappointed with a 1stD, then two Kx's (still have bothe of them) and recently upgraded to the K70. All have been very good solid cameras which gave me very good photos.
