Well, registration finally worked! Tried twice with different usernames and email addresses. Both time i was rejected because I looked like a known spammer.
Then i had a brainstorm and turned off my VPN. Voila!!! Success.
Wonder why Pentax Forums will not work through a VPN?

Anyway, I am a 70 year-old camera guy , have been primarily a Canon fan for 40 years. Started collecting cameras, mainly Canon and Nikon, a few years ago. A few interesting other individual things.
Acquired a Pentax puzzler recently and joined Pentax Forums to see what I have. Posting in an appropriate forum...look for "Pentax zxD".

I live in Ithaca, New York

You will find a lot of friendly and knowledgeable folks here, who I'm sure can help identify your puzzle camera (I did a quick search for "zxD' but did not find a thread other than this one). Mystery solved!! I tried going much deeper into Google search results. On page 8 found a Korean Wikipedia site (in Korean) which happily Google or Wikipedia could translate.
The zxD is a renaming of the *istD for the South Korean market because of trademark issues.
Really odd that no Pentax sites are aware of this.
