Hello Everyone From North Central Florida

I purchased a Pentax K10D over a year ago, but have not used it much,
but I'm hoping with the help of you folks on this site I'll become much better
at a hobby I enjoy very much. I enjoy photographing insects, large and small,
but will need your opinions on which is the best lens for my camera for what
I'm looking to shoot with it. I also enjoy photographing birds in flight, but again,
I'll need your advice as to which lens would be best for that, but I must keep
price in mind. Thanks and I'm sure this will be a very enjoyable site.

Welcome aboard!! I'll let the real macro-persons to answer your question, because I am not ainsect-fan. I have been happy with D-Xenon 100mm macro, which is the same as the Pentax SMC 100mm macro.
