Thanks fellow Pentax owner. starting to gather my tools . My objective is to be able to take a really nice detailed picture with my camera. Making it worth the money I spend. I am not a pro. Just a photo enthusiast. Been trying to check how accurate my camera thru lens reading. Seems really very close most of the time for what I want the image should be. Still learning this tool. Just bought a tripod hoping to improve my image. The camera has been giving me nicer picture than my iphone so far. One reason to buy it.

Pixel Shift should aid in that regard. Your tripod will help also.

Welcome to the forums from Central New York (Syracuse area). The K-70 and DA 35 F2.4 are a great combination that should be able to yield some excellent results. There are lots of knowledgeable folks here who will be glad to help you out, so don't be afraid to ask. Enjoy the new camera and looking forward to seeing more posts from you.

Hello from Kelowna! This is a great place to visit, and people are quick to respond to questions. Enjoy your K-70 with the DA 35 f/2.4 lens. I just got the same lens and really like it.

Welcome to the forum. I too shoot with the K70, love the camera and still learning about its functions. I suggest the e-book on the camera by Yvon Bourque, available here on the forum for a modest donation.
